Kenton Lawn Tennis Club

The tennis club has had an excellent start to 2025 on and off the courts:

• The new "managed" format for our Wednesday night social tennis has been a spectacular success, with attendances soaring to a 21st century record level and great feedback from participants.  Big thanks to Paresh and Andrew for the transformation.
• Congratulations to our Boys U-16 and Veterans (over 40s) A-team for winning their Middlesex Winter Leagues.
• Our coaching programme continues to thrive, with over a hundred participants braving the winter months.
• The quiz night was packed, with teams from Headstone, Harrow and Brampton tennis clubs participating as well as several tables from the club.
• Our first "Traitors" night was a big hit with the participants wanting more!
• Thanks to all the volunteers who helped at Grounds Day, with lots of jobs done to smarten up the site for the new season and the tennis pavillion being decorated inside and out.

Looking forward, the new membership year starts on April 1st and we'd love our existing members to renew promptly - this can be done on the membership tab above.  Our junior membership (100+) reamins very healthy, and this year we are aiming to boost our adult membership with an amazing introductory £99 annual membership offer for anyone who hasn't previously been a club member.  If you are a potential member, you can sign up on the membership page - see type 8 membership options - or you are welcome to try us out for free by coming to one of our Wednesday night social sessions (email us on kentontennis@gmail.com to let us know you are coming if you have any questions) or attend our Open Day on Monday Mays 5th (May Bank Holiday).  

Once you've joined or rejoined there will be lots of opportunities to play social and competitive tennis, for example:

• The LTA Road to Wimbledon competition kicks off in April, which is this year not just for juniors.  There is a new adult category for anyone with an LTA rating of 25+ (which excludes the elite players but covers most of our members)
• We have 5 free practices, including coaching, for our Mens & Ladies teams.
• The Club tournament starts in May and culminates in ~20 finals (Adult, Junior age groups, Vets) being played on our Finals Day - Saturday September 13th
• We have 4 Mens teams and 3 Ladies teams entered in the Middlesex Summer Leagues, plus a Mens team and a Ladies team entered in the National League & a Mixed Middlesex Cup team.  
• For Juniors we have  teams entered in many age groups of the Middlesex National Leagues.
