August update
Mon, 29 Aug 2016 00:00
Thank you to those who were able to join in with the ‘I Am Team GB’ Day on Saturday. We had a bit of Walking Football and Cricket, a few Table Tennis players and a few people had a go with the new Xplorer course (Xplorer maps are available just outside the community room – I have left the markers up for the moment). But Tennis was clearly the winner building on the sessions from the previous few weeks. Park Tennis continues to exceed expectations (and its equivalent in both Cambridge and St Albans) and Richard and Jo from R2R ran another coaching session.
There is no Tennis coaching tonight (Monday) – but the courts are available for free play.
If you are fetching balls that have gone over the fence please make every effort to avoid treading mud back onto the courts.
The proposals for Tennis for the first half term are as follows:
Monday night adult coaching sessions
- From 7.00pm – 8.30pm with Richard from R2R. £7 per head. Starting 5th September. Please advise if you are interested.
Thursday night coaching sessions
- With Jo, starting Thursday 22nd September 2016, £5 per head. Again please advise if you are interested – formal booking details to follow.

If you are interested in this, with Richard, please advise
ParkTennis
Continues Saturday from 10.00am. We are looking to confirm volunteers to help run it as Jon steps away. Please advise if you are interested in helping out. We will be running a short leaders course.
Tuesday 30th August 2016 – 2 courts unavailable due to a Netball match from 7.00pm.
I look forward to hearing back from you regarding the matters above. If you have any other query please do not hesitate to contact me.
I hope that all of the above is of interest.
