Inaugural Frostbite Tournament

Kingsley Tennis Club held its inaugural 'Frostbite' Fun Tournament for Seniors on December 28th 2016. The tournament lived up to its name : we experienced one of our heaviest winter frosts overnight December 27th-28th, rendering both courts icy and unplayable! However, 16 hardy souls were undaunted and retired cheerfully indoors to enjoy mulled wine, tea, coffee, mince pies and friendly conversation.

We still hope to hold our tournament later on, in the New Year. Perhaps we should call it 'The Bacon Butty Tournament' to be on the safe side...

Our Minis and Juniors Christmas Tennis Party was held on December 17th 2016 and was attended by 20 children. They enjoyed an hour and a half of games on court with our Coach Bill and then went indoors to demolish a mountain of food that had been prepared by their Mums and Dads. Thank you to everyone who helped to make it such a happy and enjoyable afternoon.

The Kingsley Tennis Club Committee wish you all a very happy and healthy 2017. We also wish you lots of good tennis and look forward to seeing you on the courts next year.
