Tennis Classes on offer
Tots Tennis - for children aged 3 to 5 years
Tots Tennis focuses on hand eye coordination and footwork patterns specific to tennis movement.
Mini Tennis Red - for children aged 4 to 8 years
Mini Tennis Red is played on a mini tennis court with low net and sponge balls to help children gain the correct technique from an early age.
Mini Tennis Orange - for children aged 8 to 9 years
Mini Tennis Orange is played on a three quarter length tennis court with low compression balls.
Mini Tennis Green - for children aged 9 to 12 years
Mini Tennis Green is played on the full court using a slightly softer and lighter ball.
Full Tennis - for children aged 10 upwards
Full court tennis with standard tennis balls.
Adult Tennis – Intro to Tennis
For beginners or people that haven’t played for a number of years.
Adult Improver classes
For players that play more regularly but feel there is still room for improvement.
Mini Tots - New classes starting Spring
Mini Tots sessions are for children 3+ who are not yet in full-time school. Lessons take place at the Knoll Orpington Lawn Tennis Club on weekdays. Lessons start at 1.30pm and last for 45 minutes.
The class concentrates on eye, hand and foot coordination skills, using fun games and ball activities. Class size is a maximum of 8 with one coach and one assistant.
Mini Tennis Red
This is for children aged 4 to 7 years who are in full- time schooling. Children develop the racket skills required for tennis using 21 inch rackets and sponge or low compression balls.
Mini Tennis Orange & Green
These classes are for children aged approximately 8 to 11, depending on standard. The classes are held on full size tennis court but using low pressure balls which means that the balls do not bounce over the children’s heads. In Green Tennis, children progress from orange to green balls and 2/3 court to full court.
For children aged 10 and upwards depending on the child's ability.
