WE'RE NORFOLK'S TENNIS CLUB OF THE YEAR 2023 & 2024!

Yes, we've done it!! We've been officially crowned Norfolk's Tennis Club of the Year!! AGAIN!!

On Tuesday 27th February 2024, at the Norfolk Tennis AGM & Awards Ceromony, it was announced that, after 18 months of hard work, Loddon Tennis Club has been awarded the prestigious Norfolk Tennis Club of the Year for a second year running. A truly fantastic acheivement.

Introduction

On Saturday 4th June 2022, Loddon Tennis Club, complete with our new membership scheme, became the newest tennis club in the county.

We offer many club sessions, specifically for our members, including:-

Junior Tennis for all age groups
Adult Group Coaching & Matchplay
Ladies, Gents and Mixed Club Sessions
Cardio Tennis
Walking Tennis
Tennis for those with Parkinson's

We also offer individual coaching to all members. The coaching team can be contacted by email at loddontennis@loddon towncouncil.gov.uk

We will continue to offer 'Pay & Play' to non-members. However, with our affordable membership options, we really hope that we can start to build a fantastic tennis community within Loddon, so that many can enjoy this beautiful game.

Our floodlights enable us to play through to the late evening, whether it be summer or winter and these are available for an additional £2.00/hr

All membership and court booking enquiries are made through this website and payments for these are made on-line.

Loddon Tennis Courts are owned jointly by Chedgrave and Loddon Parish Council and managed by Loddon Town Council on behalf of the Loddon & Chedgrave Playing Field Committee. Loddon Tennis Courts are available for all to use.

Please note: We have no toilet facilities on site. However, public toilets are accessable at Loddon Staithe NR14 6EZ just a short walk away.

On Saturday 20th August, we held our first ever club tournament.

Our Loddon Ladies, complete with their new Team Tennis tops, hosted an invitational ladies team. After 3 hours of friendly matches, complete with ballboy's (Thank you Maxim & Laurence), they then indulged in some well-earned post-match refreshments.

Thank you to all the players who attended and we look forward to hosting other teams in the near future.

We recently welcomed Norfolk LTA President, Mr Mike Walker, to our club.

He arrived to meet our ladies, during the Friday Morning Ladies Club Session, and was so impressed with the enthusiasm and club spirit that was shown. He also commented on how great it was that the club had progressed so much in such a short space of time, having only started 3 weeks earlier.

He wished us continued success and said that we had his full support and the support of Norfolk LTA as we continue to develop our club.

Mike was also on hand to present our Friday Morning Trophy to the morning's winner, Louise. This trophy is awarded by the ladies themselves, for an individual 'piece of excellence' within the session. Well done, Louise!!
