Longden Tennis Club

We tend to use Whatsapp groups to confirm attendance to the below sessions. This avoids only 1 member turning up and having no one to play. Members are given the choice of whether they would like to be added to the Whatsapp group when they join and can leave the group at any time.

Monday informal tennis 6.30pm onwards   currently running until the end of March 2024, and is a weekly 'mixed' session. 

Monday Club Nights 7pm - 10pm commences from 1st April 2024 running to October. This is a weekly adult 'mixed'  members tennis evening from 7pm to 10pm every Monday. No need to book, just turn up and play. A committee member will be present for these sessions to organise play.

Bank Holidays will be treated as 'informal' sessions only, on the basis many members may be otherwise busy.

Friday Mornings at 9.30am - 11.00am  We also have an informal 'drop-in and play' sesssion for those wanting a friendly knock-up with other members.  Just turn up and there should be someone else there to play with - open to both ladies and men.

Once a month Sunday Social Round-Robin Doubles  - 9.45am - 12pm

Longden Tennis Club Tournament 2024 - commencing Spring 2024 through to October 2024

Men's, Ladies and Mixed Doubles:     Partners will be drawn out of the hat.

Mens and Ladies Singles:  This will be played on a round robin basis on an agreed date.  Every player will play every other player.  Each match will consist of 1 set of 7 games, with games equating to points.  The 2 highest point scorers will play each other in the final.
