Team Captain - Role & Responsibilities

The role of Team Captain is key to the life of our club.

Role & Responsibilities

• Select team squads with Club Captain and Head Coach
• Select teams for individual matches
• Ensure that courts are booked on Clubspark for all club matches well in advance
• Ensure child protection paperwork is signed where juniors are team members
• Sign for match balls from the clubhouse ball locker for home matches
• Liaise with other clubs regarding bad weather cancellations and rearrangements
• Rearrange cancelled matches and ensure they are played by the league deadlines
• Ensure home match results are entered online or emailed, and check away match results are recorded correctly
• Ensure match disputes are resolved where possible, involving Match Secretary as a final resort
