Our Mixed Doubles tournament provided a fun evening of competitive tennis. The semi-finals saw Sandra and Andrew through at the expense of Sally and Dom whilst Diane and Nick overcame Georgina and Clive to set-up a re-run of last year’s final.

The final produced a spellbinding match with Diane and Nick forging a 5-3 advantage in the 1 set final. But, after saving a match point, Sandra and Andrew Diane took the initiative to build a 6-5 lead only for Diane and Nick to pull back to 6-6. The title could have gone either way but by the smallest of margins Diane and Nick retained the trophy winning 7-5 in the tie break. 

After breathing again everyone enjoyed food and drinks to cap off a lovely late summer evening in  near perfect conditions. Sophie and Jonathan won the plate competition.
