Nigel Mann has been selected to represent GB in the Columbus Trophy held in Washington DC USA. The GB team will compete against the USA, France Germany Mexico, Belgium, Argentina and teams from the Caribbean and South America.
The team consists of players from the 55 & 65 age group playing singles and doubles. Nigel will be playing in the 55team.
Prior to his departure he said “I am very fortunate and privileged to have been selected to represent GB. It has always been the most important aspect of my tennis life representing my club, my county and the pinnacle my Country. I will be up against the very best players in the World but “pressure is a privilege” and I will go out there and give my best to help GB win. We are playing at fantastic clubs in the Washington DC area and in addition to the tennis we also have responsibility to promote tennis within the DC communities”.
Following the tournament Nigel is going to watch the US Open at Flushing Meadow New York.
