Pickleball

Pickleball was started in America in 1965 but has now become the fastest growing sport in the UK. It combines many elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis, where players use short handled bats (paddles) to hit the ball over the net. It is played as singles or doubles and is played indoors at the Club on the badminton courts with a modified net. Pickleball is a very social game and is a sport for ALL ages and abilities.  It can be played as intergenerational or within similar age/skill groups.  Previous racquet experience is an advantage but is not necessary to enjoy pickleball, it can be played by anyone.

There are currently the following organised pickleball sessions during each week catering for all levels of ability. They are open to both members and visitors to play together, sessions are busy so places need to be booked in advance using the TeamReach app or contacting Vicky Ault. Courts can also be individually booked by members at other times.

Some sessions are more competitive and a ladder is in place that can be viewed at Pickleball Ranker
