Hilda Moore was recognised with a 'Lifetime Achievement Award' from Wilthsire Tennis at the Chippneham Awards evening on Friday 28th February.
She contributed to tennis venues and communities for over 30 years.
- Hilda played tennis from age 10, joining the Titlow Tennis Clubs committee in Glasgow at just 19. She supported development and ran their first fundraiser.
- Joining Marlborough at 30, she ran junior tennis, qualifying as a coach in 2004. She’s coached a wide range of players ever since. Her energy saw junior tennis grow to 120 juniors on the programme, recruiting 4 coaches.
- She has been Chair and currently co leads Coaching and actviely promotes Walking Tennis and Pickelball
- She was instrumental in establishing the cross-cutting Marlborough Sports Forum helping run annual events for over 150 children across 12 sports to encourage physical activity.
- She was an early adopter as a ‘She Rallies’ ambassador.
