Friday Fright Night

On what may be our last social tournament of the year if we head towards another lockdown, Friday Fright Night did not disappoint.

A full turnout despite the initial rain was a testament to the great organisation by Jo and Andrew and the spirit of club members.

Teams were each given an identity for the night, bats, warlocks, skeletons etc  and each team battled it out in a 'just for fun' mini tournament. Only underarm serving and a rotation of servers still produced some surprisingly competatitve games!

Congratulations to the warlocks who were our overall winners with a close final battle against the skulls, perhaps with a bit of divine intervention from Pope Francis! And lovely to see Harry winning, our first junior member to win a social tournament!

The costumes were fantastic and the tennis was a huge amount of fun mixing all abilities together. Social distancing measures were maintained throughout.  A great success and one I am sure will be repeated in the future.
