The annual LTA Tennis Awards, presented by Lexus, highlight and celebrate the incredible achievements and contributions of people in tennis across Britain.
First launched in 2015 with the help of former LTA president Cathie Sabin OBE, they recognise the vital work of volunteers, coaches, officials, and venues dedicating their precious time and energy to the continual development and growth of the sport.
Hilda Moore was presneted with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Sir Trevor McDonald on Thursday 24th April.
Hilda has made a strong contribution to tennis both in Scotland and Wiltshire. She played tennis from age 10, joining the Titlow Tennis Clubs committee in Glasgow at just 19. She qualified as a coach at Marlborough in 2004, was appointed chair in 2002 until 2018. Hilda currently co- leads as a Trustee on coaching. This year she joins Wiltshire Tennis, helping to manage tennis across the county. In presenting her award, Sir Trevor McDonald whose distinguished career in television news including ITN’s News at Ten, said “Her ethos is participation. Her enthusiasm and personality has been an inspiration - she is a star performer!”
