Thursday 9 March - Quiz and Supper Night, 7.30pm at MSP
Fabulous night with 16 teams competing.
Once again, many thanks to our Quiz Master, Phil Wilcock. Also, many thanks to Melbourne Fish & Chip shop for supplying almost 100 suppers piping hot and on time and thank you to MSP for supplying a great venue.
2022

Another successful evening with 12 teams competing in the annual Christmas Quiz.

Friday 18 November - Annual Club Supper
The Presentation Evening is one of the club's main events of the year at which members who have competed and won in the Club Championships receive awards. The event took place in the function room at MSP and a delicious 3 course Mexican-themed supper was served.
Congratulations to all who received a trophy or award.
Thank you to Emma and her team for providing the delicious supper and thank you to Melbourne Sporting Partnership for the wonderful venue. Finally, thank you to all who attended and made the evening so memorable.

Over 70 people attended this event raising a brilliant £550. Thank you to all who supported this event and special thanks to our Quiz Master, Roger Spencer, taking on this role for the first time.
2021

Another very succeesful quiz evening with over 70 people attending. All questions were Christmas related adding to the enjoyment. We would like to thank our estimable Quiz Master, Phil Wilcock, for making the quiz such fun. We would also like to thank everyone who gave generously to the auction and to all those who supported the evening's fundraising activities helping us to raise over £700.
Friday 26 November - Presentation Evening, Supper, Disco and Awards 7:00pm for 7:30pm at MSP
The Presentation Evening is one of the club's main events of the year at which members who have competed and won in the Club Championships receive their awards. The event took place in the function room at MSP and a delicious 3 course Italian-themed supper was served.
Due to covid restrictions in 2020 we were unable to present any awards or trophies and so trophies were presented to the winners and runners-up of both the 2020 and 2021 club championships. In addition, our chairman, Tim Shone, received a Mel Award for his outstanding 'Contribution to Sport' in the area and our club secretary, Sallie Allen, belatedly received a Derbyshire LTA award for ‘Volunteer of the Year’.
Congratulations to all who received a trophy or award.

Sunday 1 March - Social Tennis 11.30am to 1.30pm - CANCELLED
Social tennis allows members and non-members to turn up and join in a game of doubles. You can play a variety of standards and have great fun in a relaxed, social and fun environment. After your game, why not have a drink in the bar and have a laugh about the incredible forehand winner you hit!
