SLINGER BALL MACHINE INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

DO NOT USE IF IS RAINING, OR THE COURTS ARE WET, THIS WILL DAMAGE THE MACHINE

DO NOT STAND DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE LAUNCH TUBE

TURN THE MACHINE OFF BEFORE CLEARING ANY OBSTRUCTIONS

1

Stand the machine mid-way between the service and base line; zips facing the net.

2

Place the oscillator pad in front of the machine, connector wire towards the net, and place the machine on top, ensuring that the wheels are located in the two slots of the pad.

3

Attach the wire from the oscillator pad to the machine, using the magnetized connector; the connector is located just to the right of the on/off switch.

4

Unzip the bottom compartment cover to reveal the launcher.

5

Attach the hook to the clip on the left side to secure the cover.

6

Stand to the side of the machine and switch on using the rocker switch.

The four buttons will light up and indicate the amount of charge in the battery.

When fully charged the battery will last for about 2.5 hours.

7

Adjust the Feed and Speed dials to your preferred setting – the top dial controls the rate at which the balls will be fed; the bottom dial controls the velocity.

8

Unzip the compartment on the bottom right side of the machine to adjust the angle of the launcher.   Loosen the knob, slide to your preferred angle, then re-tighten.

9

Unzip the top front compartment which houses the balls (144); the ball tubes provided can be used to collect the balls and deposit them in this compartment.

10

Unzip the compartment on the top right and remove the remote control.

11

The top button of the remote will start the ball launcher.

The bottom button starts the oscillator.

N.B.  There is a 15 second delay, you will then hear a beep, and 5 seconds later the balls will start launching.

Note

Balls speeds range from 25mph to 45 mph; there is a lot of top spin generated, the higher the launch speed the more top spin is generated.

12

A mobile phone holder can be attached to the handle of the machine, or the back fence, using the mount provided in the top right compartment; secure the phone to the mount using the 4 rubber bands on each corner.  The mobile phone can be re-charged by using the USB cable located in the top right compartment.

13

On completion of your session please switch off the machine, unplug the oscillator, stow all the attachments in the correct place, and use the brush provided to remove the yellow fluff from the area around the launch tube, before returning to the machine custodian.

Coaching tips – practice wisely; hit to a target; concentrate on technique to improve.

Start  on slow Speed and Feed until get used to the pace and spin.
