Norfolk Festival of Tennis Inclusive Day Wednesday 28 August

Join us for a free inclusive tennis session taking place at East Anglia Tennis and Squash Club as part of the festival. Register your interest in any of the sessions by emailing Jeremy at team@tennisable.co.uk

Morning schedule:
10.00 -11.00am   Walking Tennis (spaces available)

11.00 -12.00pm   Leaning Disability Tennis - adults (full – waiting list available)

Afternoon schedule:

12.30 – 1.15pm   Special Olympics Tennis (spaces available)

1.15 – 2.00pm   Visually Impaired Tennis – juniors (spaces available)

2.00 – 4.00pm   Para Standing Tennis (spaces available)

10.00am Loddon Tennis Club will be demonstrating walking tennis.  Walking tennis offers an easy way for older or less mobile adults to keep their body and mind active and also enjoy the social side of being part of a tennis community.  Come along and give it a go.

11.00am The adult’s LD session will be led by Jim Biggie from North Elmham Tennis Club.

12:30pm The Special Olympics tennis session will be run by Tennis Able.  Special Olympics is the world's largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

13:15 Juniors aged 7 to 16 with partial vision to complete loss of sight are welcome to join Tennis Able and Vision Norfolk for a session.  

14:00 Para Standing tennis is a rapidly growing new category of tennis designed for people with physical impairments who are able to play tennis without the use of a wheelchair.  This session will be run by Tennis Able with support from para standing World Champion, Georgia Routledge.

No previous tennis experience necessary. All equipment provided, players just need to wear suitable sports clothing and trainers, and be able to work within a group environment.

It would be great to see all the sessions nice and busy.  Please share with your members and encourage them to invite their friends so we can give as many people as possible the chance to have a go at tennis.
