The team consisted of Emma Burckitt, Jeannette Baxter, Karen Highfield, Lucy brooks and Sam Hickman.

Emma and Sam were making their 35s debut. 

Tie 1 v Bucks 
Karen went on 1st and toughed out a win in a match tiebreak. Sam then followed with a straight sets victory to take us 2-0 up. Unfortunately the rain came and play was cancelled for the day with the doubles pairing of Lucy and Jeannette at 1-1. Coming back the next day we only needed to finish the doubles match to end the tie. Overall winning 2-1.

Tie 2 v Lincs
Lucy started the day with a good win in the singles to take the team to 1-0. Unfortunately Karen didn't win her match tiebreak this time. We then won all 3 doubles matches to win 4-1, Sam/Emma, Karen/Lucy.

Tie 3 v Northants
A win today guaranteed promotion. Lucy dug deep started the team off on the winning foot. Sam then stormed through her match to make it 2-0, only 1 more rubber need to take the match. Karen and Jeannette teamed up for the doubles match and made it a 3-0 win.

Promotion to group 3 for Norfolk. 

A great performance from everyone and an enjoyable weekend on the grass courts at Eastbourne. On to next year!
