Northowram Tennis Club

Our brand new Tennis Club in Northowram, situated at the top of the Hough, has been leased from Calderdale and have now been  refurbished.

We have been attempting to transfer the courts (which haven’t been played on for 25 years) from the Council for the last 2 years and finally we have succeeded.

We raised £13,000 through small grants, donations and a race night and with a £45,000 Sport England Grant and a £10,000 Suez Refuse Grant we were able to refurbish the courts and add floodlights which will allow the courts to be used throughout the year. 

Our aim is to provide tennis facilities for everyone no matter how good or not so good you are, coaching will take place and schools will be encouraged to use the facilities along with other groups for different activities.
