UKRAINE FUNDRAISER – Saturday 25th June

With no end in sight of the war in Ukraine and the need to support its people greater than ever, PLTC are hosting a fundraising evening on Saturday 25th June 7-11pm. (Entry £10 adults- £5 children).
 There will be great bands, dancing, bbq, fun & games and a raffle with prizes kindly donated by the great and good of Penarth - it promises to be a brilliant night!
All are invited to the tennis club to support Ukraine & raise money for a small charity, with close links to members of the club.
PLTC will be raising money for ‘O Noua Viata’ (A New Life), founded 30 years ago in response to the need to rehouse the young people in the state orphanage in Siret, Romania – remember Challenge Anneka?
 
Being situated on the Ukrainian-Romanian border, it was uniquely placed to provide shelter, food & transport to some of the thousands of Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war.
 
Now ‘A New Life’ is transporting a lorry load of medical supplies, non-perishable food, baby food and other crucial aid every week to those most in need in Ukraine. With more funds they could transport more essential aid. Find out more here -  https://fonv.org/ukraine-crisis/
