HOTSHOTZ offers high quality coaching for all ages and abilities. Our academy is run by our ‘big cheese’ Zane Cheeseman, who was voted Kent and regional Coach of the Year in 2023 and currently captains and plays in the Great Britain over 40s team.

HOTSHOTZ AT PENNINGTON – INTRODUCING ANNA KVERNDAL
Anna Kverndal will be leading the Hotshotz Coaching Development Programme at Pennington. Here’s a quick introduction from Anna herself:
“I first picked up a racket at 4 years old, and as a player, I really enjoyed competing at all levels in both singles and doubles. I love the rush you get from playing a tennis match, thinking about what tactics I want to utilise and what shots I need to make.
In 2013, my passion for tennis led me to start coaching tennis aged 15 years old, helping other juniors. I fell in love with coaching, and in 2018, I passed my LTA Level 3 coaching qualification. I plan to take the LTA Level 4 coaching qualification in the next year. I also graduated from Leeds Becket University in 2018, obtaining a degree in sports coaching. Whilst at university, I was captain of the women’s second team, competing in national and Northern Premier Tournaments.
After graduating, I became Tennis Manager at an academy in Surrey. During my time there, I helped increase the group numbers for adults and juniors by 35%, promoted and ran successful holiday camps, established links with local primary schools, set up and organised club nights for adults, as well as creating and leading competitions for both adults and juniors.
For the past three years, I have been working as the Head Coach at Tonbridge Tennis Club. In that time, I have run really successful junior camps, and increased the adult group coaching programme. I have also introduced some junior performance tennis to the club, which has had a great response”.
Anna is really looking forward to bringing her skills, experience and passion to Southborough and we can’t wait to have her and the Hotshotz team on board!
