Pensford TC on the Beeb!

On Sunday 10 March BBC radio Bristol programme Clueless with Richard Lewis came to Pensford Tennis Club. Some of the programme was broadcast from the Memorial Hall Playing fields. Members of the tennis club were interviewed about the club and its activities.

Clueless involves 2 mobile teams in Bristol and Somerset  who follow cryptic clues that lead to various mystery locations  across Somerset and Bristol. A clue is broadcast at each location and listeners give answers that lead the teams to the next location The clue ’Chewing up in 1968’ helped the team to find us. This referred to the great storm in 1968 when the River Chew devastated Pensford and destroyed its main road bridge.

The day proved to be great fun with some freebies handed out by the radio station and some great promotion of the tennis club to all those in the area. Follow the twitter account for details of all the pictures tweeted out on the day.

Many thanks to BBC radio Bristol for choosing us.
