Understanding Goals

This phase of our player pathway is derived from a player beginning to know what it takes to achieve their goals and why targets are important and what level of work is required to reach specific targets. The aspirations of this player will be to compete at a high level within formal LTA events.

An example training schedule will look like;

  • 6 x Individual lessons per month
  • 2.5 x hours of appropriate level coaching - Often Tower Learning Method
  • Strength & Conditioning Session once per week
  • 1-2 x hours per week self motivated training practice with agreed goals
  • PDM (Player Development Meeting) with parents every 6-8 weeks
  • Competing within local competition events e.g. TennisGP 
  • Competing regularly within formal LTA competitions
