We invite all members to take part in the 2025 Retford Tennis Club Championships.
Format: This is a knockout format. The winner of each match progresses to the next round. HOWEVER, new to 2025, if you lose your first round match you automatically progress into the NEW consolation Plate Tournament. Every player is guaranteed at least two matches.
Scoring: Best of 3 sets with the third set being a match tiebreak to 10 points. This must be won by two clear points (E.g. 10-8, 11-9... NOT 10-9). You must arrange your match by establishing contact with your opponent and record your result on the printed draws found inside the club house.
All matches must be played before Monday 21st July. Winners of the Semi-Finals of all draws will then play in the final on Finals Day on Sunday 27th July.
Please Note: If you propose a date for your match to take place on three separate occasions, across three different weeks and the recipient cancels, doesn't acknowledge the match request or doesn't show. You should let the tournament organiser know and they will see to it that the match is classed as a walk over and you will progress to the next round.
Closing date for entries is 11th April, unfortunately we will not be able to accept entries after this date.

Anybody entering must be a full adult or Junior member of the club.
