About Us

1921 - Present Day

Rickmansworth Lawn Tennis Club is an accredited tennis club mark & registered venue.

For the past 23 years we have been proud to host the annual Rickmansworth Open where people come from all over the country to compete. Our coaching team, led by Jordan Miles, offers programmes for all ages & all levels (please see Coaching page for further information).

The information on the history of RLTC comes from committee minute meeting books and other records held in the club's archive. These records which extend over a period of 80 years have been combined by a diligent and determined researcher, Noel Kent, chairman 1983-88 and president from 1992. Alan Jamieson wrote and edited it, making sure that the words were in their correct sequence. Teresa Clarke designed it and Brian Harding was responsible for the print production.

The history of our club - Game, Set and Match - can be found by clicking here. We hope you enjoy reading this unique booklet.

Defibrillator (AED)

AED - Defibrillator at Rickmansworth Lawn Tennis Club

The tennis club has an automatic AED defibrillator outside the club house. It is on the wall   to the left of the clubhouse entrance. There are some instructions there.

Please take a few minutes to view this video. It is very very user friendly and you never know when you may need it.

A similar AED saved the life of Fabrice Muamba. In his words ... "... if it wasn't for the defibrillator I wouldn't be here today". He was young and fit!
