Highly rated Moorgate juniors Josh Bows and Daniel Porter entered the Grade 4 Abbeydale Summer Open and justified their number one seedings.

In the 14-and- Under category, Daniel swept aside all his opponents, losing just seven games on his way to the title, which saw him climb to 13, in the Yorkshire County rankings.

Josh had a similar record in winning the 18 and Under event; losing just six games in the tournament. He also made the semi final of the Men's event; which saw his county ranking rise to 12th. Meanwhile his club colleague, Daniel Hernandez Black, finished in third place in the 18-and-Under event, which took him to 15th place in the county.

Emily Busby finished as runner up in the Girls 14-and-Under tournament, taking her to number 21 in the county rankings,

All of them will look to climb further up the rankings especially in the Winter season, which features a multitude of events.
