Latest update February 22nd - The Government has published its roadmap for the gradual and staged easing of lockdown restrictions in England, made possible by the pace of the vaccination programme. Restrictions will be eased across all areas of England at the same time.
Outdoor tennis courts will be able to open from Monday 29th March. This will mean recreational tennis will be able to resume, including singles and doubles social play, 1:1 coaching and formally organised activity for groups, including group coaching (maximum group size and court ratios subject to confirmation).
Our new memberships will be available to purchase from Monday 29th March. Please note all these dates are subject to change depending on updates from the government.
Please note that only Sheen Parks Tennis Coaches are licensed by the Council to coach at this site. If any other coaches are found to be coaching at the site, they will he asked to leave immediately and the name of the booking client will be sent to the Council reporting a breach of the court booking terms and conditions. Sheen Common has 4 recently refurbished tennis courts adjacent to the sports pavilion. It is 5 minutes walk from the Sheen Gate of Richmond Park.
Sheen Parks Tennis Coaching Services:
We provide tennis to the local community of East Sheen and surrounding areas in Richmond. We help all ages and abilities find the right tennis pathway for them.
We deliver individual private coaching. Please contact Co-Director and Head Coach, Caroline Jordan or Co-Director Kate Maurici to discuss a suitable time and coach for your lesson ([email protected]).
We deliver small group coaching to adults including, drills sessions, team practices, and cardio tennis. We also deliver after school and weekend group coaching to Juniors. To book onto these courses, please click here
Schools and Nursery Tennis:
We deliver coaching to local schools and to nurseries. Please contact us if you would like us to visit your school or nursery to discuss your tennis needs.

Kate Maurici, a qualified LTA Referee is happy guide adults and juniors into entering appropriate competitions for their abilities.
We pride ourselves in the number of regular competing Junior players that we have, with a large proportion of those being girls. We regularly enter 8 Junior Aegon Teams and 4 Wilson Surrey League Adult Teams.
We now have 200 children participating in tennis weekly on Sheen Common. We are trained and supported by Judy Murray's Miss-Hits initiative and She Rallies initiatives which, in partnership with the LTA, seek to promote tennis to girls.

Want to Book a Court?
Our booking system is quick clear and easy and allows you to make a booking up to 6 days in advance without any hassle. Simply register, select a time and date, book and pay for your court and then you’re ready to play! You can also make bookings via the ClubSpark Booker App, which you can download from your App Store on both IOS and Android phones.
Play Tennis Richmond are committed to making sport accessible and affordable to everyone in the community, helping people of all ages and abilities enjoy the sport, in partnership with The Lawn Tennis Association. We have a family membership for just £55 a year, that entitles you to play tennis for up to 1 hour a day, 5 times a week, all year round! Also, on offer is our junior membership which is available to individuals under 16 and will enable young people to book and play tennis for free. This includes juniors playing with an adult.
Pay and Play:
Although our yearly membership offers the best value for money for regular players, a pay and play option is available for just £9 per court, per hour.
All membership and ‘Pay & Play’ fees are reinvested by the Council into improving public courts in the borough.
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Refunds for cancellations of court bookings will only be given when a cancellation is made more than 24 hours before the time that the court has been booked for. You will receive a full refund within 7 working days.
