SOCIAL SESSIONS
The best way of meeting other club members and improving your game is to come along to club social sessions and mix in.
- Tuesdays 7pm -10pm - Adult social session
- Fridays 6pm - 10pm - Adult social session
The format is to play doubles, one short set (first to 6 games wins), then mix around.
After a club session a committee member usually opens the bar, where a range of wines and beers may be enjoyed at very reasonable prices.
Outside of the club sessions members can arrange to play between themselves. You can also book courts online.
TOURNAMENTS
The annual summer tournament - one for the Seniors and one for the Juniors starts in May, with the finals day in July. This features:
- Mens Singles
- Ladies Singles
- Mens Doubles
- Ladies Doubles
- Mixed Doubles
An extremely popular winter and summer singles box league competition is also held each year.
TEAM TENNIS
Southfields are entered in the Wilson Surrey LTA leagues with 4 Mens teams, 2 Ladies team, 1 Mixed team, 1 Ladies midweek team and a number of Junior teams.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Our main social event is the Finals' Day party, but we also hold a number of other events across the year, including quizzes, Pancake Night, Oktoberfest and a Christmas drinks. We've also been known to have the odd BBQ when the sun comes out in summer!
The club bar - which is usually opened after each club session - has a great selection of craft beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks - all at great prices.
