Steep Lawn Tennis Club

We’re lucky to have our home in beautiful countryside on the outskirts of Steep village, near Petersfield. With six hard courts and two artificial clay courts, all floodlit, we can enjoy tennis all year round. A cosy clubhouse provides changing rooms, toilets and kitchen facilities.

LTA affiliated, the club's typical membership is 450 – with around a quarter of those juniors. We offer a mix of social and competitive tennis alongside a full coaching programme, catering for beginners right up to experienced players.

All members are welcome at club ‘mix-ins’ on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons – just turn up to enjoy some fun doubles!

Steep also fields men’s, ladies', mixed and junior teams in the county leagues, with our A teams playing in the top divisions.

We love any excuse for a social event, and we also run internal tournaments, including the summer Club Championship; the Finals Day in September, which features adult and junior matches, is a highlight for players and spectators.
