Ben Knight - Owner/Managing Partner Top Bounce

Ben is a very experienced LTA Level 4 coach who brings fun and enthusiasm onto our courts.
 

Rhys Dunford LTA Level 3 - plus Operations Director and Head of Tennis at Top Bounce

Here is what Rhys has to say about himself: 

"I started assisting with the coaching programme at Ivybridge when I was 14 and instantly loved being given the opportunity to help pass on my knowledge & passion for tennis to other people. I continued coaching throughout my teens alongside my busy training and tournament schedule which allowed me to share my experiences gained from playing tournaments with all the up and coming junior players I was involved with. 

Due to my playing background I am most at home supporting junior and adult players to get in to playing competitive matches and supporting players who already play in league teams or tournament tennis. 

My specialism is helping all competitive players improve their serve, doubles tactics and general confidence within game situations. This is done through both group and 1-1 coaching, so if you want to get more competitive with your tennis I am definitely a good choice of coach for you."

Top Bounce employ a number of qualified instructors that share Ben & Rhys enthusiasm for tennis, we regularly see James Jenning, Will Newman and Lisa Hutchins, LTA Level 2 coaches, on our courts.

Tavistock Tennis Club also has other coaches that work on site at TTC with our permission. All of which abide by the clubs policies and LTA code of conduct.   Our coaches are LTA qualified and  certified in first aid and safeguarding.

Linden Hardisty - Independent LTA Level 5 instructor 

Linden is head of tennis at the Devonshire in Plymouth but we are proud that he has always maintained his links with us at Tavistock Tennis Club and still does a small amount of private coaching. As an LTA  level 5 coach Linden can provide performance coaching for all ages, but he is equally happy teaching adults of any standard. Contact Linden on 07956 548249.

Richard Hendin - Independent LTA Level 2 Instructor

Richard is an LTA Level 2 Instructor who believes everyone can enjoy and benefit from taking up tennis at whatever stage of life.  His LTA assessment confirmed what his students already know - that 'You are clearly enthusiastic about the game and are a very strong communicator with a passion to teach'.  Richard coaches Walking Tennis (two bounces, no running!) and Starting Tennis Later in Life (STLiL) which have brought many members to the Club.  So if you would like to give tennis a try yourself, or know of someone you think might like to have a go, please contact him on 07812 891601, or e-mail om1770@yahoo.com 

Gordon Hilborn

Offers a keenly priced racket restringing service with a quick turnaround. Gordon is also authorised by the club to be an adult 'hitting partner'.
