A great place to play

The Green Lawn Tennis Club is tucked away off-road in a quiet residential area, with vehicle access from Tower Road West.

We offer a safe, friendly environment for adults, families and children, whether you are completely new to tennis or have played for years.

Play your way

Members enjoy social tennis, club ladders and box leagues, as well as regular competitions and an annual closed club tournament.

For those who enjoy match play, we run teams in the Sussex men’s, ladies’ and Wealden mixed leagues.

There is plenty going on, but no pressure to do more than you want.

Our courts

We have nine courts in total: five international-surface acrylic courts and four fast-drain macadam courts.

Floodlights allow play until 10 pm all year round, with courts available to members at all times.

Specific sessions are set aside for junior play so that all age groups are well catered for.

Guests welcome

Members may sign in guests to play for the day.

The guest fee is £5 per person per day, with a maximum of six visits per guest per year.

Club facilities

Off court, members enjoy changing rooms, a licensed bar, a comfortable lounge area, use of the kitchen and free Wi-Fi.

We also offer an in-house racquet stringing service, usually with next-day return, provided by our Lead Coach, Joe Adams.

Tennis balls suited to our court surfaces are available to buy at the bar.

Membership fees reduce as the club year progresses.
