New enquirers usually have a number of questions that will help them reach a decision about what is the most appropriate membership to suit their needs. Here are some answers to the frequently asked questions we receive.
Our membership year begins on 1st April and finishes on 31st March following. Joining after April means your subscription is pro-rata with the amount you pay dependent on the starting month.
The Green LTC is a members' club, not a business. Voluntary help is always appreciated.
The grounds and pavilion are open 7 days a week.
Courts and pavilion available from 9am.
Free introductory session when you join with our coach Joe Adams. Call him on 07595 302449. It's a great way to start as he can help you maximise your playing opportunities.
Pavilion front door has a code lock. Entry code notified to new members after joining.
9 courts and with no need to book in advance (5 floodlit).
5 Plexipave and 4 porous macadam.
Sensible sporting attire and non-marking shoes please.
Restringing service available with returns usually next day.
Club programme on website.
Opportunity to play in our teams that compete mainly in the Sussex Leagues. Usually we have 2 Ladies Doubles, 4 Men's Doubles and 2 Mixed Doubles together with a summer Veterans.

Wednesday night usually at least 3 courts, 7/8/9, taken up with drop in Social Play.
The guest of a member must be signed in and may play up to 6 times in the year. Guest fees per visit are set at £5 adult and £2.50 junior aged 25 and under.
Court floodlights are all on individual meters. £1 per 10 minutes. All floodlights when starting need £2 minimum, either 2 x £1 coins or 1 x £2 coin, thereafter 50p, £1 and £2 coins are all OK.
Courts 7 8 and 9 have LED lighting which is immediately responsive. Courts 3 & 4 lighting is known as metal halide. They take a little while to reach full brightness and if they are switched off take 15 minutes to cool down before they can be restarted. All floodlights go off automatically at 10pm.
Balls can be purchased, often in stock Wilson US Open and Head. These balls are ideal for use on our court surfaces. Used match balls available at £1 per tube.
Kitchen always accessible to make tea and coffee.
There is a holiday membership option for visitors to the area set at 1 or 2 weeks.
