Having grown up playing and competing in and around Edinburgh, I have played and loved tennis from a young age. My passion for tennis started when watching Lleyton Hewitt at Wimbledon, “I loved his energy on court and how he never gave up on a point”. I have worked with juniors and adults of all ages and abilities ranging from complete beginners to performance squads. I hope my coaching will bring out that desire in your game to chase down every last ball.
I have been coaching in various part and full time roles across Scotland since 2012. Most of my early coaching was based between Edinburgh and Stirling where I attended University and gained a BA Hons degree in Sports Studies. I played and coached at the Gannochy National Tennis Centre during my time in Stirling as well as at a number of clubs across Edinburgh.
After graduating and working for a Video Analysis Sports Coaching company, I decided that I wanted to coach full time and I took up the role as Head Tennis Coach at The Edinburgh Sports Club in early 2016. During the Winter of 2016/17, I had the opportunity to play and coach abroad in Sydney. It was a fantastic opportunity for me to work with some of Tennis Australia's top coaches and compete in New South Wales.
I am delighted to be the New Head Coach at Thistle and very eager to begin. I hope to deliver a varied and extensive program to the members and help you take your game to the next level!
