Adult and Junior Tennis Coaching Thornhill Dewsbury
Our tennis coach is Sam Dandy, he is LTA Level 3 & accredited+ to coach adults and children.
Sam is also:
- Insured
- First Aid trained
- Safeguarding Child Protection trained
Coaching for the 2023 season starts Wednesday 19th & Saturday 22nd April with a taster session and six week courses available.

Our coaching schedule:
Saturday:
4-8yrs Tots/ Red ball _ 9-10am
8-11yrs Orange/ Green ball _ 10-11am
12-16yrs Junior Full ball _ 11am-12pm
17yrs+ Adults _ 12-1pm
4-8yrs Red ball _ For the children who want to start something new and learn the basic coordinations and basic tennis knowledge. These skills can be transferred to multiple other sports and daily life lessons.
8-9yrs Orange ball _ For the kids with ambition and drive to pursue the next challenge and to increase their tennis knowledge.
By this stage lots of juniors will have played their first tournament, or will start to play tennis on their own.
9-11yrs Green ball _ The last step towards completing the junior phase of tennis and working towards adult & full ball tennis, technically and tactically.
Individual tournaments and local leagues will be a popular option for these players
Green balls are also an excellent recovery tool for adults who are coming back from upper body injuries. A technique used by the injured professionals in today's game.
12yrs+ yellow/ Full ball _ This is where your tennis journey truly begins. Full balls are where you will learn the different ball characteristics - bounce, spin, speed and how to react to these situations.
With the many levels and experiences with full ball players, you can now start to appreciate the techniques and tactical decisions you have to make
