Thornhill Tennis Club warmly welcomes people of all ages and abilities. 

Whether you just want to play tennis with your friends and family, or you want to join in social tennis with other like minded people, or if you want to get involved in competitive league tennis, this is the place for you.

OPENING TIMES

Our courts are open for tennis play every day of the year, all day from 9am to 10pm. Once you are a member you can play as often as you wish during these times. Floodlights are available for a small additional cost.

PLAY TENNIS FROM £3
Visitors fee per session, must be accompanied by a member. Number of visits may be limited. 

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FROM £37.50
New members fee, membership lasts until 31st March next year.

LEAGUE TENNIS

We have a men's team in the Huddersfield tennis league, and as we grow our membership then we would look to add a ladies team and also a mixed team. Our team captains are volunteers and we welcome our members offering to help out in this respect.

SOCIAL TENNIS SESSIONS

If you are looking to meet and play with other members, join our weekly social tennis sessions. All you need to join in is an understanding of the rules, and the ability to hit a tennis ball reasonably well. If you're a complete beginner then we can recommend tennis coaching to help you enjoy and get the most out of social sessions.

Thornhill Tennis Club has social sessions running 3 to 4 times a week providing great opportunities for members to socialise around tennis.

We play on Saturday afternoons from 1pm, Sunday mornings 10am, and by arrangement with each other on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. 

Simply turn-up and play, you will not need to book your own court. 

If you want to arrange your own tennis with friends and family, you can normally just turn up and play. Please note that matches and social tennis will take priority so avoid these times or consult with a member of the committee to organise your court time.
