Veteran's Trophy

Mark and Keith Stockley (seen here) are winners of the Veteran's Trophy held at the Club on Sunday 25th September. The trophy was first awarded in 2016 in memory of a true veteran (Ferrers Le Mesurier) who played regularly until his death at the ripe age of 85 in 2015. To meet the eligibility criteria, the combined ages of each pair of players had to exceed 85. 11 'couples' took part in the tournament in dry and generally sunny conditions. Our thanks go to the organiser of the tournament (Caroline Arkell) and Lucy Lambkin for the BBQ.
