Summer Holiday Activities 2020
Due to the late notice of the change in group sizes we are permitted to coach (now permitted up to 15 players), which only happened on the 13th July, we are unable to run the normal week long Summer coaching courses, however as a replacement we have set up a series of ‘one off’ clinics over the Summer period
Numbers for these clinics will be limited though to between 8- 12 players depending on age group to ensure that the recommended hygiene and social distancing mesures are implemented for the groups.
The days and times of the clinics are displayed below and are available to book via the website. Please note: The clinics do need to be viable to operate and will require a minimum of 3 children to go ahead
We would ask that where possible that children have their own rackets. Where this is not possible rackets can be provided and these will be cleaned / disinfected prior to and after use.
Covid-19 - Social distancing and hygiene.
Coaching group sizes from 8 - 12 depending on age group will be maintained so it is possible when playing and doing drills to maintain a safe social distance from the coach and each other for the most part. Being outdoors also greatly reduces the virus transmission risk. The touching of tennis balls and other equipment will be limited as far as it is possible to do so. Regular hand sanitizing and washing will take place during the sessions. Children will also be encouraged not to touch their faces during the sessions too.
Parents are Spectators
Whilst under normal circumstances we would be happy for parents to stay and watch for part or all of the sessions, at this time we must, unfortunately ask that parents just drop your child / children off for the clinics and leave. This is to minimize the social interactions in and around the courts. When arriving and picking up your children please make sure that you observe appropriate social distancing measures.
