You Move

Our You Move Family sessions are a new Family Session at the club for everyone! Organised by our Head Coach, come along and play as a family in a fantastic setting, learn the basics of the game for the first time or come along for some extra practice. Get a little help along the way but this isn’t a coaching session, so free play is encouraged and an opportunity to learn and more importantly have fun! We recommend coming with a partner / family member or friend, so you definitely have someone to enjoy it with also.

Our You Move session is every Wednesday 4 - 5pm during term time and is £3 for everyone and Free for YouMove card holders

You can "try before you buy" by joining in on a couple of our Social Sessions for free (Thurs evening & Sun morning are best). Membership is available at a reduced cost per month for remainder of the current season. The new season starts on April 1. Adult Membership for 2024-5 is £155 with reductions for couples, families and concessions.

Wantage Tennis Club has always welcomed players of all abilities and there are many opportunities all year round for social play as well as match play. If you have enjoyed playing on the public courts, are new to tennis or returning after a break, have just moved to the area or wish to test the water with some social play, whatever your age or ability, you are WELCOME at WANTAGE TENNIS CLUB.

Our Winter match season is in full swing and new Members who wish to play competitively will be able to find a place in one of the squads. Next Summer we are expecting to field two ladies teams, six men’s teams and three mixed teams in the Oxfordshire League, two ladies teams who play midweek friendlies and a mixed team in the Newbury League.

Non Members can book Courts 5 and 6 which are Pay and Play (£6.50 per hour plus £2.50 for floodlights.) BOOK HERE

We are always keen to have new members. If you would like to play please contact the chairman or secretary (https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/WantageLawnTennisClub/AboutUs/Contact), who can arrange for you to join an appropriate session.

There are currently three adult social mix-in sessions a week. These are on:
Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm
Thursday evenings from 6:00pm
Sunday mornings from 10am to 12:30

Additionally we have:

Senior Servers - Relaxed Seniors Tennis
• Tuesday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00
• Friday afternoons from 14:00 to 16:00 BST in the Summer (13:00 to 15:00 GMT in the Winter)

Members are also welcome to bring guests to play on Club courts, a £2.25 guest fee is payable by the member. Just enter the guest's name during the booking process, payment by card. Alternatively contact the Treasurer for payment details.

Safeguarding

The key Safeguarding Documents that all members are asked to read are: Safeguarding Statement 2023 and Safe and Inclusive Code of Conduct 2023. All the Club safeguarding Rules, Regulations and Policies have been updated and can be found here.
