Mens Teams

All levels of league tennis are catered for as our men’s teams are spread throughout the South Wales Summer Doubles League. So if you want to test yourself against other clubs and improve your own game, there should be a team for your standard of play at WTC. The Summer Doubles League runs from the end of April – July, while the LTA Team Tennis League starts in mid-April.

With our Winter Doubles League and Veterans teams, there are opportunities for league tennis for all standards throughout the year at WTC. We also have Open, Veterans and Over 60s mixed double teams. 

MENS NIGHT is every Wednesdays with competitive tennis and match practice all year round.
Sunday mornings and Friday early evenings is also a popular time for many players to practise.

Ladies Teams

Over the past 20 years, Whitchurch Ladies have regularly competed at the top end of South Wales tennis. We currently enter 2 teams in the South Wales Summer Doubles League, plus a Cymru Kitchens team and 2 Ladies Veterans teams in the winter leagues.

LADIES NIGHT is every Tuesday with competitive tennis and match practice all year round.
Sunday afternoons are also a popular time for many players to practise.

We also have seen a lot of success with our open, veterans and over 60s mixed double teams. 

Junior Tennis

Our safe, family-friendly facilities are ideal for youngsters of all ages to develop their skills. And it's a great location for kids to get on court for practice after school, over the weekend and during school holidays. Coaching sessions for mini-tennis right through to teenagers are held during the week and on Saturdays. WTC is proud of its links with our local primary and secondary schools and we regularly host school events on our courts.

We have Junior teams in the LTA Team Tennis Leagues to give all age groups the chance to play competitively against teams of similar standards from other clubs. WTC also hosts Junior Ratings Tournaments for match-play against similarly-ranked juniors from across South Wales.

Our Mini Reds also have the chance to take part in regular fun tournaments as part of the Sytner Mini Red Circuit which is designed to introduce our youngest players to match-play.

We also have elite level junior players representing South Wales, with some competing at UK national level.
