Group Coaching Programme Suspended

Dear Parents and Players,

As I'm sure you are aware England will be going into a national lockdown on Thursday 5th November. This will mean our group coaching program will be suspended on Thursday until at least 2nd December.

From 2nd December if England comes out of lockdown and we are permitted to do so, we will resume the group coaching programme. We will also add an additional week to all our classes. The current term is meant to end week commencing 7th December, we will therefore add an extra week to the term, meaning we will end week commencing 14th December. Any lessons that you miss due to lockdown restrictions will be refunded, we cannot use your bookings as credit for a future term. Refunds will be processed at the end of the term when we know how many sessions have been cancelled.

If you want an immediate refund for the rest of the half-term, you can of course request that now and we will process it.

Tennis might be permitted during lockdown

Although the group coaching programme has to be suspended it is still unclear what the situation with outdoor tennis will be in England from Thursday 5th November. The UK Government is encouraging outdoor exercise and is permitting exercise with a member of a different household. Therefore the LTA (the governing body of tennis) is making the strongest case possible to the Government for outdoor tennis courts to stay open due to the positive impact it has on people's physical and mental health. The CEO of the LTA is asking people to write to their local MP to put pressure on the government. You can read about it here https://www.lta.org.uk/about-us/tennis-news/news-and-opinion/general-news/2020/november/update-from-scott-lloyd-on-the-latest-coronavirus-restrictions-in-england/

If outdoor tennis facilities are allowed to remain open from Thursday we will look to offer a programme of 1-1 private lessons.

We will keep you updated on any developments.
