Bakewell Recreation Ground

Bakewell Tennis Courts are now OPEN.

There is a new electronic gate access system and accessible pathway from the football pitch side. (The sign for the courts and QR code for booking is still located on the old access gate and this will be moved shortly onto the new gate). We would recommend booking online before turning up to play.

To celebrate the opening of the newly resurfaced courts we are making the courts free for October (subject to pre-booked activities we are delivering). From November our regular charges will begin in line with Hall Leys Park fees £6, to ensure ongoing maintenance and high standards.

There will be free access Monday - Friday 4 - 6pm and Saturday & Sundays 2-4pm for the first 12 months. This will still require booking. (Daylight hours only)

The basketball hoop is on court 1.

Bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller skates/blades, remote controlled cars are not permitted on the courts as they can damage the court surface.

Bakewell Pickleball is based at the Agricultural Business Centre (ABC) Agricultural Way, Bakewell, DE45 1AH (Indoor Venue Open on Wednesdays only subject to events)

Pickleball Court Hire: £10 per hour and includes the hire of 4 paddles and a pickleball. Parking passes are also available on showing your booking confirmation.
