NEWSFLASH Thanks to our friends and supporters, Bamford Tennis Club has actually done it: we’ve raised the £20,628 needed to revive our ageing but much-loved court 4 so current players, young women and older folk in the Hope Valley can all benefit from playing tennis and pickleball! It’s really going to happen!

Thank you to all of you, our supporters, without whom we’d not have managed this!

Thank you to the fundraising team behind the scenes at the club, who’ve been working hard in so many different ways to get this project off the ground.

But… there are still two weeks to go in our fundraising window, and we've got plenty of ideas of how we can make this project even better, so we're adding a stretch target, of £24,000!

• We still have rewards to be snapped up
• We know there are more people and businesses out there who’ve expressed interest in supporting our aim
• And, with additional funds, the club can act on some of our ideas to make this project even better, for example, to: offer young women and girls free-to-access drop-in sessions from November, six months sooner than we would have been able to otherwise; and, run some pickleball intro sessions; and, contribute to the cost of updating the fencing on that court, which is also ageing fast.

We're so grateful to the 71 people who've shown belief in this project so far. Please keep spreading the word to get even more people on board!
