Court Booking Rules

Please can we remind all members, parents and visitors to remove all their rubbish and not leave it on the courts for others to clean up     

Court Booking

  • Courts may be booked through the Booker App or the club website in 30-minute slots for up to two-hour periods in accordance with the regulations governing the times for booking.
  • Full adult members can book all courts at any time, 14 days in advance.
  • Intermediate, U21, Student members can book all courts at any time, 7 days in advance.
  • Midweek members can book all courts Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm, 14 days in advance.
  • Junior Parent members can book all courts at junior time 8am to 7pm on weekdays and any time at weekends. Junior Parent members can only book courts to play with their children who are junior members. Junior Parent members can book 2 days in advance, 
  • Winter members can book all courts from 1st October - 31st March, Monday to Friday from 8am – 7pm, 7 days in advance.
  • Fixture secretary can book all courts at any time, 120 days in advance for booking courts for club matches only.
  • Head coach can book all courts at any time, 90 days in advance for booking courts for junior squad coaching only, Monday to Friday 3pm - 7.30pm and Saturday morning 9am - 1pm.
  • Coaches can book outdoor Astro courts for private lessons at any time, 14 days in advance.
  • Assistant Coaches can book outdoor Astro courts at any time, 14 days in advance for booking 1-1 hitting sessions only.
  • Members and Coaches must only use the courts they have booked
  • Holding, Social, Junior and Mini members are not allowed to book courts.
  • Members cannot book more than one court on the same day.
  • Members cannot book courts for other members, adult, junior or mini.
  • Adult members and Intermediate members can book a court for their own lesson with a club coach in accordance with the regulations governing their booking rights.
  • Courts for external adult competitive matches must be booked by the fixture secretary.
  • Courts for junior competitions must be booked by the Head Coach.
  • No hot drinks, sweets, chewing gum or food to be taken on court
  • Floodlights must be turned off when they are not in use, or at the end of play unless the next court user is present and ready for play.

Use of indoor courts (Winter only)

  • No spectators allowed in the indoor courts during junior or mini squad sessions, with the exception of the Tweenies (3-4yr olds) with one parent allowed per child.
  • Coaches cannot book indoor courts for private lessons. Coaches can use the indoor courts for private lessons on the day, provided that the courts have not been booked by other members. 
  • Inter-club matches should not be played on the indoor courts unless, at 2 hours prior to the time the match is due to start, there are 2 courts that have not been booked
  • The dome membrane is very fragile and easily damaged, care must be taken to avoid contact wherever possible. Any damage to the dome needs to be reported immediately to a member of the coaching staff. Please report serious damage to

  • Please note if the damage is caused by racket abuse, those responsible will be charged for the repair.

Use of clay courts 4, 5 & 6

  • Coaches cannot book the clay courts for private lessons. Coaches can use the clay courts for private lessons on the day, provided that the courts have not been booked by other members. 
  • Inter-club matches should not be played on the clay courts unless, at 2 hours prior to the time the match is due to start, there are 2 courts that have not been booked, i.e., the clay courts cannot be booked for matches in advance (excluding NCL matches).
  • It is the responsibility of the outgoing players to drag the courts at the end of their play.
  • Planning restrictions mean that floodlights on clay courts will automatically switch off at 10.30pm. You will still need to switch off at the light box otherwise the lights will automatically switch on at 8am the next day. Note: emergency lighting is provided for 7 minutes to enable you to leave the courts.
  • The gate at the entrance to the clay courts will be locked with a padlock. The key for the padlock is on the notice board in the lobby. The entrance to the dome is also an emergency exit so ensure both gates are fully opened before entering. The padlock and gate should be locked after play has finished or at 10.30pm.
  • The gate to the second dome on courts 9 & 10, has a security lock. Please ensure this is pulled closed after play has finished. Code for the lock is c4580.

Cancellation of court booking

  • Members should cancel any court booking made on the system where the booking is no longer required as soon as possible. If a member fails to cancel their booking more than once in any 3-month period, their booking rights will be suspended for 4 weeks.
  • If a member or visitor fails to turn up within 15 minutes of the start of their court booking, the court can be claimed by another member on a first come first served basis. 

Visitors

  • Visitors, including junior parents who are not members, can use the courts with a member present, upon payment of the relevant visitor fee.
  • A member may bring 6 guests in one year.
  • Visitors cannot attend social play sessions unless agreed by a member of the Tennis Committee.
