The Essex Open Tennis Championships, LTA Grade 3 Tournament will be played at Billericay LTC, Blunts Wall Road, Billericay, Essex, CM12 9SA from Sunday 23rd July – Saturday 29th July 2023.

Gal-on Broner will be the referee again this year.  

The courts will be closed all week on the court booking system but may be available to members on some evenings depending on the weather.

The Tournament will be played on the artificial grass and artificial clay throughout the week. weather permitting.

Tennis/appropriate sports clothing/shoes must be worn always for the duration of the tournament. Billericay LTC operates a robust safeguarding policy and all children 10 years and younger must always be accompanied by a responsible adult and may not be left at the tournament unaccompanied.

Car Park:

All competitors and spectators will have free use of the club’s car park and car park attendants will be present.

Stringing Service:

There will be a 24-hour stringing service providing a variety of strings and grips. 

Catering:

The club will be offering a full catering service daily from 8.30 am- 18.30 pm. The service will provide hot/cold drinks. Hot/cold food including breakfast for the duration of the tournament. In addition to the catering service the club will be holding 2-3 barbecues throughout the week. The club also offers a full licensed bar for adults from the afternoon onwards.

We will be looking for volunteers to help during the week in the kitchen, in the bar and in the car park and various other small tasks. If you can help in any way, no matter how small, it would be much appreciated and would ensure the tournament is the success it always has been at Billericay.
