About Our Club

Established in the 1930s, Burnley Tennis Club has grown from strength to strength, continuously improving our facilities to provide an exceptional tennis experience. We warmly welcome players of all abilities to come down to the club, give tennis a try, and get involved in our vibrant community.

Our Facilities

As a friendly and sociable club, we offer tennis at every level. Our fantastic facility boasts six all-weather courts, three of which feature LED floodlights and Large modern Clubhouse. Whether you have a competitive edge, enjoy social fun tennis, or are a complete beginner, Burnley Tennis Club is the perfect place for you.

Coaching Program for All Ages

At Burnley Tennis Club, we believe in nurturing talent and providing opportunities for growth. We offer a comprehensive coaching program for both adults and children, led by experienced and qualified coaches. Whether you want to improve your skills or introduce your child to the sport, our coaching program caters to all levels of ability and age groups.

Social Tennis and Club Activities

We understand the importance of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. That's why we host regular social tennis sessions every Tuesday and Thursday, allowing members to come together, enjoy the sport, and forge new friendships. It's a fantastic opportunity to play and connect with fellow tennis enthusiasts in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

Clubhouse and Social Hub

Our spacious clubhouse is the heart of our social activities, open seven days a week. Members, their families, and friends can make use of our clubhouse facilities, including table tennis, TV screens to catch all major sporting events, and Wi-Fi.

Accessibility and Awards

Burnley Tennis Club is committed to accessibility for all. Our clubhouse offers full disabled facilities and easy access, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the facilities and activities we provide. We take pride in our achievements, having been honoured with awards such as the 2015 LTA British Tennis Club of the Year, North Club of the Year, and Lancashire Club of the Year. Additionally, we were recognized as the Community Club of the Year in 2015, received the 2017 LTA Lancashire Tennis Venue Commitment Award, and were honoured with the 2020 Lancashire Tennis Communities & Parks Award. In February 2024 the Club was awarded the Connecting Communities Award at the Lancashire Tennis Awards
