Sessions & competitions

At Cromer Pickleball Club we offer the following Pickleball sessions: along with other playing opportunities:

Social Pickleball

Social Pickleball sessions welcome players of all ages and every skill level. Please note that each social session has a maximum capacity of 24 participants across the four courts.

Games are played in doubles and after each match, players switch courts and/or partners; occasionally sitting out depending on the rota. When not playing the participants have the opportunity to get to know one another, engage in conversations and exchange their pickleball and otherwise experiences. This is an excellent format as it promotes social connections and ensures a great playing experience for all.

These sessions are run by an experienced facilitator who can assist and answer questions regarding rules, scoring, game play positioning & basic strategy.

There are two Social Pickleball sessions per week:

  • Tuesday Night - 7.30pm - 9.00pm (All Year Round)
    Available for all members.
  • Friday Night – 7.00pm - 8.30pm (All Year Round)
    Available for all members.

Drills & Matchplay

Pickleball Drill sessions are essential for participants looking to improve their game and take it to the next level.  The first half of the sessions present an opportunity to practise the skills, drills, techniques and strategies which can then be immediately put into practice in the second-half match-play sessions.

  • Wednesday Night - 6.30pm – 8.00pm (All Year Round)
Please note that the session has a maximum capacity of 16 participants – Please note there is a skill threshold level that players must reach before they are offered the opportunity to join this group.

Starter Sessions

Introductory Pickleball sessions provide the participants with the skills needed to start playing quality and safe Pickleball. The sessions cater to the beginner level of the game covering such fundamentals as dinking, driving, serving, volleying, and scoring. In addition, basic positioning and rule concepts that are important to the game are also introduced. These are followed by both drills and some match practice.

Subject to demand - we provide one two-hour session per month on a Saturday morning for up to 16 participants. Just £5.00 per person; bookings are essential and must be made by contacting ……..

Pickleball Competition

Pickleball is also played competitively, and our club offers this very opportunity to the members who can play in the club’s Pickleball Championships and interclub competitions.

Our Pickleball Championships usually take place in April, whilst we also have a Xmas & Summer Team Tournament.

We are looking at the possibility of a Pickleball Ladder the warmer months potentially and we regularly play friendly matches with other clubs in Norfolk & Suffolk.
