Careers and Training with GDTennis

Our team of coaches all share the passion of getting more people playing tennis, more often, but what makes us stand out from the rest is our dedication and commitment for quality and customer service. It is no secret that players learn more, from fun enthusiastic coaches, and who live and breath the sport of tennis, and that is why this enthusiasm and fun spirit is a key credential we look for in our coaches.

Our team consists of coaches who all have many different levels of experience and qualification, and all support a wide variety of coaching programmes across the region. We are currently undergoing a period of rapid expansion, as we work towards our aim of bringing quality tennis coaching programmes and services to as many more players, clubs, parks and schools as possible.

Currently, there are opportunities for coaches of all levels in our clubs, schools and park programmes, which include both group and individual coaching. We also run a very large holiday camps programme, which is also continuing to grow as we introduce multi-sport afternoons.

All GDTennis coaches are required to be DBS checked (formerly CRB) and have the relevant first aid qualification; they must also successfully demonstrate their coaching ability and attend in-house training sessions with our coaching team as part of CPD.

What does a career with GDTennis look like?

GDTennis coaches are rewarded well, and in return, we expect professionalism that cannot be matched by other clubs and organisations.

We are one of only a few companies who have our own in-house coach training, which is provided by some of the best LTA recognised coach tutors in the country. This enables us to fully customise coaching courses and training days to the needs of our coaches and essential the players.

After many years of trailing sports management software systems, we decided to invest in the development of our own bespoke online booking system, which takes cares of all bookings for players and parents, provides a coach portal for registers and monitoring, as well as all the management tools required to run and market a successful programme. This system has really helped our coaches a huge amount and allowed them to focus on getting more people playing tennis, more often.

All coaches receive full off-court support from our management team in the form of mentoring, marketing support, and administration and career advice.
