Great Massingham Tennis and Multi-Sports Club

Great Massingham Tennis and Multi-sports Club is a thriving, friendly, LTA-registered club in the lovely Norfolk village of Great Massingham.   Although the Club encourages five-a-side footballing youngsters, the main activity of the Club is tennis. 

The Club is Norfolk LTA 'Club of the Year for three out of the last four years!

With membership around 260 our two tarmac courts are busy:

• Six teams battling in local leagues;
• Ladies Tennis Mornings with matchplay and CAKE!
• Squad practice sessions for league team members and invited optimists - Tuesday (Ladies) & Thursday (Mens) evenings and Saturday afternoon (Mixed Doubles)
• A group of Improvers keen on white wine, fish and chips and very occasional matches with other clubs - Thursday Mornings
• A Saturday morning Junior Club with coach, Jeremy Hodges, Ashley Swift and Lorna Taylor
• Social tennis ("Club Sessions") on Sunday, Thursday and Friday mornings with tea, coffee and cake and Tuesday afternoons (prospective members please note "cake" and bring £1 to cover the cost of balls)
• Coaching programmes for the hopeful, for those who are getting quite good and those who really are not bad at all.   And juniors large and small - Junior Academy starting  soon - watch this space!

Use of FloodLights

Both courts now have floodlighting, to comply with our planning permission the club insists that the top court floodlighting is used first. If the top court is already in use or booked then of course please use the bottom court.

Again to comply with our permission the bottom court lights will be dimmed and please note THE ELECTRICITY WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHED OFF AT 9 PM, on this court.

The exception to these rules will be for official league matches etc, the overriding controls are in a locked cabinet only to be used by those nominated by the club committee.
