ORGANISED CLUB ACTIVITIES FOR 2026

We very much look forward to seeing you at the weekly club sessions and Sunday mix ins, if you haven’t been to any before please do come along and join in - there is something for everyone!

• Wednesday mornings 9.30am - 11.30am  –  ­Ladies morning
• Wednesday evenings from 5.30pm - dusk – Mixed doubles (please register)
• Friday mornings 10am - noon – Mixed doubles
• Sunday mornings mix-ins –  Men’s last Sunday of the month  10.00am - noon every month,  other activities arranged on other Sundays.

Additional special events planned for you to note in your diaries (and more will be arranged):

** KATZAROS KUP - this is a fun mixed-doubles event to start the tennis season that is open to all club members aged 16 and above. Partners are drawn and change as the event progresses through round robin & knock out stages. The Katzaros Kup is presented to the winner. Register with Mark Powderham mark@hadsol.co.uk by Friday 10th April.

***2026 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP      Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2025 Club Championships.  Men's & Ladies' Singles / Men's & Ladies Doubles / Mixed Doubles entries to mark@hadsol.co.uk by Friday 17th  April  (partners can be found).  Tournaments will run through May and June  with each round required to be completed by a certain date and match times arranged between the players to suit them. Finals will be held on Sunday 19th July - please keep the date free.

PADEL CHAMPIONSHIP We will run a club championship along the same lines as the tennis tournaments for men's, ladies and mixed doubles. Finals will be held on Sunday 19th July. Further details to follow. We also aim to run a one-day tournament in May/June. Kees Tol is our Committee Member dealing with Padel. 

HORAM LEAGUE  The Horam League is a fun and friendly East Sussex inter-club doubles competition for adults. Last year we won our league and have been promoted to the first Division. The matches are played on Monday early evenings  6.30 - 8.30ish, at GTC or at the opposition's club. The competition is due to start on 28th April. You do not have to commit to playing every week but it's helpful for us to have lots of our members involved and a large pool of players available. SUSSEX MEN'S DOUBLES LEAGUE New for 2026, GTC has entered a men's team into the Tennis Sussex Doubles league. The summer competition runs from mid-April until the end of August. If you are interested in joining the team or want further details please email the club or contact Mike Bayley.

JUNIOR ACTIVITIES

As well as the holiday camps and coaching provided during the week for the juniors run by Jon Prenelle our coach, there will also be mix ins and tournaments organised .
