AGM 2023
Ledbury Tennis Club – Invitation to AGM – Thursday 16th February 2023
All members are invited to join us for the Annual General Meeting of the Ledbury Tennis Club which will be held on Thursday 16th February 2023, at the Burgage Hall, 7pm for a 7.15pm start, we expect to finish before 9pm.
The meeting Agenda and the Minutes from last year’s AGM are attached for your information. Also included in this email is a Summary of Annual Accounts, our Treasurer Steve Finch will be happy to clarify any points at the AGM.
The AGM is an important meeting, recognising all that has been achieved over the last year.
2022 saw a return to relative normality following two difficult years of Covid restrictions and the adoption of a new committee structure for the club. We will seek to re-appoint all existing committee members at the AGM, but if you would like to nominate new members to join the committee then please fill out the form on the agenda and send it back as instructed. It’s important to note that any nominee must first give their permission for this.
Your club continues to be run by a team of volunteers that are absolutely essential to the friendly and supportive spirit that make our club so special. Our thanks go to everyone that has worked so hard all year to help run the club and make it the great success that it is. We very much hope all volunteers will want to continue with their valuable contribution, but if for any reason you would rather not then please contact Rob Stewart (ledburytcchair@gmail.com) as soon as possible.
If you would like to make proposals for consideration under A.O.B. they must, in accordance with our constitution, be submitted to John Admans (via email to ledburytcmembership@gmail.com or placed in the envelope on the club notice board in the clubhouse) by Sunday the 5th of February 2023.
With regard to subscriptions for this year, your committee recommends the following changes which we will seek to approve at the AGM. The increases in some membership fees have been necessary due to the higher prices of electricity and high rates of inflation which are pushing up our costs across the board. We feel these revised rates continue to represent exceptional value for money, with all annually paid packages costing no more than the equivalent of £3 per week.

Annual memberships:
Full Adult: £156
Adult Weekday: £116
Young Adult (under 26 @ 1/4/23): £36
Adult Walking Tennis Weekday: £90
Junior: £15
Period membership:
Three monthly - Full Adult: £60
One month Trial membership: £20
Please note that we have consolidated the ‘Junior’ and ‘Child of Full Member’ memberships and have replaced the 'Student' membership with a more inclusive 'Young Adult' membership to encourage greater participation for this age group.
