Located in Southgate Park since the 1930's (read a little more about our Club History), we offer social and competitive tennis for all ages and abilities. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an aspiring champion, our club is the perfect place to play, learn, and have fun!
Facilities & Membership
Our courts are managed under a long-term lease with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Council, Club membership is optional, but includes great benefits for a small monthly fee. Benefits include:
- Enhanced booking access
- Free floodlight use for Full, Senior and Young adult categories.
- Access to weekly club nights with balls provided.
- Eligiblity for teams and tournaments.
- Discounted group coaching.
Competitive & Social Play
- Club Nights run every week as follows: Mixed Night Mondays 6-7.30pm, Mens Night Thursdays 7-9pm, Ladies Night Fridays 6-8pm. These are self-organised mix in sessions.
- We run teams in the South Wales Doubles Leagues in both Summer and Winter seasons. Members can speak to the Club Captains and Coaches about suitability for these.
- We run an annual junior tournament (usually during the first week of the Summer Holidays), with regular one-day local-level LTA tournaments throughout the year.
- Our annual seniors tournament runs every Summer culminating in a September Finals day.
Coaching
- This is provided by the award-winning Tennis Squad, who provide group classes for juniors and adults, plus school holiday tennis camps.
- Additional private coaching is available for members with members of the coaching team.
- Sessions are suitable for beginners, club players, and tournament competitors.
- Group coaching is discounted for club members.
